While we prefer grass, we can set up tents on hard surfaces as well, Hard surface setups for frame tents will require the additional rental of anchors. The number of anchors depends on the tent size. 20 × 40 tents require 8 anchors and 20 × 20 tent require 4 anchors. 10 × 20 tents use leg weights that will provided free of charge.
Inflatables can only be set up on grass surfaces.

Mad Hatter is not responsible for damage to sprinkler systems and underground utilities. 24” stakes are used to anchor the guy lines when the tents/inflatables are set up on grass. It is the customer’s responsibility to mark out and make the drivers aware of any underground hazards that could be reached and damaged by the stakes. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that there are no underground utilities by going to call811.com at least 3-5 days in advance.

The customer is responsible for pulling any permits required in the city/town where the rental items will be set up. If a permit is required, a copy of the permit should be sent to Mad Hatter.

Delivery, setup, use, and removal of rental equipment may result in minor property impact, including:
Lawn compression or discoloration
Soil disturbance
Minor surface markings on grass, gravel, or pavement
We use 24 inch spikes to secure the guy lines on tents and inflatables that are set up on grass, so several ¾ inch holes should be expected.
